Perchance to dream 2002-11-27

To sleep, perchance to roam along
through misty gardens, low and long,
through far-off lands that've yet to be
and sunset valleys never seen.

To sleep, perchance to have a chat
with Plato, talk of this and that...
or have a dinner party fine
with wise philosophers blitzed on wine.

To sleep, and yet, be so awake
that life itself seems pale and fake
that sometimes it is best, it seems,
to sleep, my friend, perchance to dream.
